With the results our today for the latest Hillsborough inquiry, I decided my latest drawing would be a Liverbird. It will be a very emotional day for a lot of people today. My thoughts will be with the families and I’m hoping the will finally get closure and the answers they have seeked for so many years.
The more and more I’ve been drawing on my iPad, the more I remember how much I enjoy it. The time seems to move so fast and without even realising an hour or even two has disappeared.
This time I decided to draw a Skull, in school (many years ago) I found these extremely difficult and could never quite master them, and age and time didn’t heal this particular issue.
Overall I’m happy with it, and maybe later in the year I will attempt another to give me a barometer of improvement.
I’m so disappointed to find out that Sony Entertainment have decided to close down the UK Based Game Developer Evolution Studios, when they broke into the PS3 with the launch title ‘Motorstorm’ many people were blown away, Frantic gameplay and graphics to match, It was no surprise the game spawned a number of sequels and spin off games on handheld consoles.
When they brought is a delayed Driveclub to PS4 it wasn’t without its glitches, these were sorted out in subsequent updates and fixes which turned the game into something very good if not great.
Do these teething problems with a title on a new console warrant the closing of a great studio with some very talented people?
I think not…….
This is the first time I’m using the Apple Smart Keyboard, Firstly the ease of which the keyboard connects to the iPad is typical Apple, it just snaps into place with the same re-assuring snap of a Smart Cover, and it’s also so very simple to set up into a Laptop type position.
The Angle of the screen also seems like a lot of thought has been put into this, without the angle adjustment of a normal laptop, the angle of the screen had to be just right….. And it is.
Next is the feel of the keys, at first the keys feel rigid, and very ‘Clicky’ for the want of a better word, as I’m typing this the keys are already starting to feel a lot more natural, with the extra speed of physical keys over the touchscreen already becoming noticeable.
I’ve used the on-screen keyboard to type two handed on a few occasions with the iPad Pro, this was achieved with a very low angle created with my iPad case’s Smart Cover. The speed of typing is on a par, however it’s all down to the angle the Smart Keyboard achieves as to its effectiveness as a Laptop Replacement.
The keyboard is a superb addition to the iPad Pro, however wouldn’t be suitable for most iPad Users. It’s use is plain and simple…… Writing.
If your a Student, Businessman, Teacher or Blogger, this is a sound purchase. If not, this will be an expense that will be not really justifiable.
Then you have the cost, my 128GB iPad Pro was £799.00GBP with the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil that puts the overall cost at £1,017.00GBP, Which is only £30.00GBP cheaper than the new MacBook.
It’s a superb piece of kit with very few flaws, however there does need to a lot of thought into which will be your best option.
Hope this Helps.
Yesterday I picked up the Apple Smart Keyboard for my iPad Pro, I haven’t really had a chance to try this out yet.
I’ve unboxed it and connected it to my iPad, and initial thoughts are its up to Apple’s usual standards of quality.
The proof will be in the testing, this comes later today.
My Review will follow……
This will be my first post to WordPress having used Tumblr for a number of years, I’m looking to do more writing on this blog so WordPress seemed a logical choice.
My blog will be on a vast variety of subjects, which could prove a little Chaotic to say the least.
I will try my hardest to keep the randomness of my thoughts in check.
